Hi there, If a picture is worth a thousand words then a poem must speak for itself, or in this case, speak of me. These words are from a few of my tunes.
Excerpt from "Coming of Your Age"
- I'm just a dreamer full of dreams of hope in a world that's hard and cold
And I've learned enough about love and life to last me 'till I'm old
I'm not going to try to convince you that something I believe is right (anymore)
The peace you find in your heart and mind wont be mine tonight (oh no)
Excerpt from "Heading Down to Dixie"
- I've got no money in my pockets got no laces in my shoes
But I've got my head and heart and soul full of rhythm and blues
And I'm heading down to Dixie any way you want to choose
Excerpt from "Ghost"
-
I'm just searching for myself
I'm tired of trying to live my life like everybody else
I just want to see the world through my own eyes
My Quotes

- Education without industry is lame, industry without education is blind.
- Music paints all paths the same color and all colors the same path.
- If a statement isn't self explanatory then its something else.
- Always carry a magnet, just in case you need to find a needle in a haystack.
- Some days you wish for a genie, some days you just polish the lamp.
- The concept of evolution is easier to grasp when one thinks of "an active process emerging from, and including something fundamental" rather than "an event that started a long time ago."
- Behind every good story there is an even longer one.
- Stop Feeling Guilty for Being Human!
- Don't hate, sublimate, turn your hurt to heart through art.
- We've made a mess of earth all right, all we can do now is hope we can get someone off the planet before we use up all the resources...
What if
If I were to close my eyes, I'd block the stars out of the skies
If I were to plug my ears, I'd lose the voices through the years
If I were to close my mouth, how would all the sound get out
If I were to lose my touch, how would I know when I'd had enough
If I were to close my mind, who'd imagine what I'd find
What am I prepared to loose, before I fall out of love with you?
I'll share the horrible things you've seen, death, glory, in-between
The silent ghosts of yesterday that others have safely put away
All the words said in spite that haunt you every single night
And every wound you've ever felt that's beat you down till you have knelt
And all the thoughts that people thunk, that were better thoughts when they were drunk
To you I will never lie, I'll love you till the day we die
Without you there are no sights to put all of the wrongs to right
Nor sounds to greet me when I rise until the sleep refills my eyes
Nor words to whisper to the wind in hopes of hearing them again
Or fingers to wrap around the wedding band that I have found
Oh how I've wondered soft and loud, what if I lost you to the crowd
What am I prepared to lose, whatever you're prepared to choose
To Dance Again
Why were we cast into this mortal coil
If not for folly or for toil
Look around, observe the moil
Life as a gilded foil
How many other worlds abide
Beneath the surface of our hide
Pre-precursor, non-specified
Waiting for a chance to stride
If you're a prisoner of some kind
Please forgive me, never mind
May grace release us from this crime
To dance again to a different rhyme
Sausages for Sunday Breakfast
I saw the writing on the wall
I ran at first, but then stood tall
I felt the fury of it all
Overwhelm me
Now I lie apart and broken
Thoughts and actions are all muddled
Death can have all my troubles
Revive me
Without telling anyone
Dismantle everything begun
Let me have another run
Inspire me
To walk again in greener fields
To measure growth and not the yields
Reveal all there is to reveal
Guide me
Its written as it was first writ
Every part of every bit
There is really nothing more to it
Really
For at the heart of everything
Are all the wonders that life brings
All that there is to be
Trust me
Or you may trust in God above
May even trust your life to love
All these things and more are good
Believe me
You may imagine awful things
Destroy the process nature brings
If it happens then its meant to be
Release me
Let this verse hold the final twist
The kernel that should not be missed
You may want to sit down for this
With sausages I'm having grits
Some Days You Are the Fertilizer, Some Days You Are the Flower
If you fall in the abyss
Where the safety net has gone amiss
The further down you seem to go
The less of you that seems to show
But more calamitous than this
The unremitting loneliness
Of never feeling anyone
Will know your heart before you're gone
There are no secrets at the bottom
After you're gone you'll be forgotten
All that's born must decay
To feed the roots of another day
Ode to Tigr
With dawn comes another day
Though few are left for me I pray
I lie and wait for death to come
While those around me look on
All my life had been a case
Of waking up and making haste
So much to do to get things done
And just like that my life was gone
But now I rest with naught to do
Except to wait it out with you
What value am I to anyone?
What else could I have done?
My final peace will soon be here
I'm glad I have my loved ones near
Death is life's final gift
Hard though it is for those that's left
