We are 2 guitarists and a drummer who play fast, heavy but slightly melodic thrash metal with a few prog influences. The music is fast but intricate. Influences include Megadeth, Annihilator, Exodus, Control Denied, Death, Heathen, Nevermore, Archetype, Etc. We need a bassist who can play 16th notes and triplets at 190-220 bpm and knows some theory. We need a singer with stage presence but no death/screamo stuff. Need someone who can sing melodically, with a good vocal range. We jam twice a week in St James and intend to record and play some shows as soon as we have a few more songs written (have 6 so far and a couple more partially written and on the way). So here goes I am just back from playing in the UK with a few of me old mates who still live there. I play Drums and sing a bit, over there we were playing just about anything and everything from old blues & stuff R/R Motown bit of country ya know whatever goes in the pubs even some Chas & Dave they’re a London duo quite good. Anyhow here I am back in the Peg now and just looking to do kinda the same thing here so if there is anyone interested in doing something just on weekends and part time that would be great, I have good gear and wheels very easy going and like most of you out there not looking to be a star or anything, I am a seasoned player with eons of experience looking for the same hopefully or at least good players. ok that said, hope to here from someone this year…. Classic rock band TheBiggestLittleBigBand seeks bass player for kick ass group. The only prereq is that you have to be over 6'4" and muscular. Age is no limit. You could be 18 or 76. Don't care as long as your big, mean and can play that instrument. It just worked out this way that all of the guys in the band are over 6'4" and we decided to run with that theme. Must have own quality equip and transportation. Vox would be great, but not required. Practices will be 2-3 times per week about 30 min outside of the Peg, until we get tight, and then rarely after we're playing out. Guys into UFC and Fight Club especially as we like to rough house a bit during practice. Nothing dangerous or anything but you gotta pin me if you want in. Oh and you gotta be able to play a mean bass. LOL. Seriously though we do like to fight but we keep it friendly. Serious entries only. Do NOT waste my time like the last emails I got. I'm a guitarist (early 40's) interested in getting an acoustic duo going. I'm looking for someone (male or female although I'd prefer female as I think it'd allow for a more interesting mix of material) to handle the brunt of the vocal chores (if you play an instrument as well, so much the better). This would be primarily cover material although I wouldn't be against getting a few originals in the mix if you are so inclined. I would want it to stay mostly covers though. I'm open to all sorts of different material - anything that could be made to work in a stripped down acoustic format. The ultimate goal would be to play out maybe a couple times a month or so. Any gigs worth taking seem to be with Terry Morris agency, so if your band is in tight with them, email me with your set list. Doing vox on and off for 20 years blues, pop, rock country etc. Play rhythm and some lead but would rather just sing. Been told I am cross between Hip singer and David Lee Roth on stage. Lots of energy but not too crazy to distract from the other band members. Guys with drinking problems and big egos no problems because if you get a smart mouth, I'll nip that right in the bud. You'll see what I mean when you see me. 6'6" 280 lbs. I'm a teddy bear until you p*** me off. But let's all play nice and get along and have some fun and make some music. Hey! My band Dead 'Til Friday started up a few months ago and we are currently looking for a singer to accompany our current singer. We are a 5 piece cover band and already have had a handful of paid gigs with some more on the way. Our goal is to sign on with a company and play in the city a couple weekends every month. I am a 33-year-old female singer/rhythm guitar player looking to play with a musically established band. If you've heard of Prairie Wildfire, which was my band that I have since shut down due to not having the time to run it myself. I am looking to play once or twice a month due to full time work obligations. I have my own equipment, small P.A (can be used as a monitor system) and have been playing for 15+ years. Band must be musically established and willing to learn and do new music in the fields of Rock, Country, Pop and maybe even some Dance. Band must be talented and able to learn the songs alone and then get together (around once a months to rehearse new stuff) before gigs.
